VIG Kids Camp 2026: An International Experience Bringing Children Together Across Borders
Around 500 children from 20 countries across Central, Eastern and Southern Europe took part in VIG Kids Camp 2026, one of Vienna Insurance Group’s (VIG) most distinctive social and educational initiatives, organized in Austria by Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein.
During two weeks filled with activities, participants had the opportunity to explore cities such as Vienna, Salzburg and Klagenfurt, visit mountains, glaciers, lakes and culturally significant sites, creating a unique experience combining learning, fun and international cooperation.
VIG Kids Camp is much more than a summer camp. The program aims to strengthen the values of respect, tolerance and intercultural understanding, giving children the opportunity to build new friendships and create bridges of communication across national and cultural boundaries.
One of the most memorable moments of this year’s edition was the visits to retirement homes, where the children performed songs, dances and creative activities for the residents, promoting intergenerational dialogue and highlighting the importance of connections between different generations and communities.
Participants were selected through the international “We Are Family” photography competition, dedicated to children aged 9 to 13 from the families of employees of VIG Group companies. Through their creative interpretation of the concept of family, the children earned the opportunity to become part of this international adventure.
As part of the wider Vienna Insurance Group family, Sigma Kosovo values and supports initiatives that promote education, cultural diversity and the development of younger generations. VIG Kids Camp is an excellent example of how shared experiences can create lasting friendships, strengthen human values and inspire children towards a more open and collaborative future.
