MTPL INSURANCE
MTPL is the compulsory motor third-party liability insurance that every motor vehicle owner must have in order to use the vehicle in compliance with the legislation in force in the Republic of Kosovo.This insurance provides financial protection against damage that may be caused to third parties as a result of using the vehicle in road traffic, thereby contributing to the safety and protection of all road users.
Subject to the terms of the policy and the legislation governing compulsory motor insurance, MTPL covers the civil liability of the vehicle’s owner, user, or driver for property damage and bodily injury caused to third parties in the event of an accident. Subject to the product’s terms and conditions, MTPL+ allows vehicles to travel within the territories of North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia without the need to purchase separate border insurance policies in these countries, in accordance with the rules and agreements applicable at the time of travel.
